Nitwitivity Christmas

For this card I used the lovely Nitwitivity Collection - a commissioned Christmas card for a baby's first Christmas.
Trying to get a nice clear picture is very difficult as this card is gorgeous in real life but the pics don't do it justice.  The colours are a lovely golden yellow.  I've layered backing papers and decoupaged the lovely angel and star.  Adding greeting and sentiment elements.  I've used some lovely amber brads, palest green pearls and little gold dots of pebo paint and a tiny bow in same colour as the pearls.  The inside is finished to complement the front but forgot to photograph inside.
Close-up of angel with her halo in gold pebo paint and the sentiments with their tiny gold dots.
I've not entered a challenge for absolutely ages but Polkadoodles have a sketch which I've followed . . . but tweeked a little.  I'm really pleased with this card and hope the lady it's for is also.

A lovely card I made a little while ago as one of several samples.  The couple was a freebie from one of the sites I visit but cannot remember where.  I used some lovely lime green ribbon and tiny pearl beads to dress this card.   Glamour dust and diamante on the dress/image. Really pleased with the result.

Baby Frame

At long last, able to add pics to blog. This is a lovely project to make for a new baby.  Frames curtesy of Lisa at Ella's Designs.  I've made up 4 of the frames and linked them together to spell BABY.

You can glitz up and add embellies as you wish.  I will be making up lots of these, especially with 2 new grandbabies due in the New Year.

Vintage Butterflies

A lovely shabby vintage card made up with elements from a cd by Debbie Moore.

I used clear embossing powder to make the butterflies pop off the card (after decoupaging them).  I aded some lovely turquoise blue ribbon and little silver charm to top left corner.

Flowersoft was added to ivy leaves, glossy accents here and there to give some texture.  Also glamour dust to the lettering.

Picture to right shows close up of embossed butterflies and flowersoft (though nicer in real life).   Pics do not do the card justice.

Forever Friends 8x8

Blogger is  being so  very slow uploading images that I get fed up waiting, so not posting as regularly as I can if blogger was quicker.

This is a commissioned card for a 21st, using Docrafts Forever Friends bp's and image.  I've used Spellbinders dies to cut border trim and circle embellies.

I crinkled the patterned bp but sadly this doesn't show up on pic ..... gives a lovely texture.  Added Docrafts heart doilie, lovely punched butterflies, co-ordinating ribbon and little charms.

For My Frances

I've used one of the beautiful flower fairies to create this card for my grandson to give his mum's friend.

I've used spray and shine over the whole decoupage panel to give a lovely sheen.  Added spellbinders carnation flower with pearl brad for centre, some ribbon with pearl slider and tiny diamante gems.    I'm pleased with the end result, colours work well together.

The second pic shows a close-up of the beautiful flower fairy.

There are seven layers of decoupage going on here to give
lots of dimension. This is a gorgeous image
to use as the colours blend to look like a painting

Hoorah, finally able to add second pic that goes with previous post.  All the elements to make up this colourful card are from Nitwits.  The patchwork duck, bunting and letters are all decoupaged to add dimension.

Wednesday 27 June 2012

This is a close-up of a card I have made for my Granddaughter's 4th Birthday coming up in August.  I have used the lovely Nitwits collection and created the banner the gorgeous patchwork duck is holding from elements from the collection.

I decoupaged up many elements to add dimension, and the result is that the page is brought to life, which sadly as I cannot upload more pics, am unable to show.

I have really bright colours to make this colourful card. I have been trying to upload more pics but blogger is not co-operating at the minute, which is why I haven't been blogging for a while.  It takes so long to upload pictures and when you're tied to time, its time I can ill afford to spend at the minute.

I will enter this into the Polkadoodles challenge this week which is for lots of colours.  I have been using the new cd rom from Polkadoodles recently - Picknix and it's fantastic, just a shame blogger won't let me play and show some of my recent makes.

Sunday 4 March 2012

This card I made for one of my Grandsons birthdays a couple of weeks ago... I used Docrafts Woodland Folk and Friends CD rom (which I absolutely love).  The card is a large 10x8 and is on brown linen cardstock as the base.  The bp is from same cd as is the snake image and ribbon strip.

I matted the image onto silver mirricard, glossy accents adds some lovely dimension to the decoupage.  I added my grandson's name using letters from the cd rom, a circle nestie cut from spellbinders, finished off with silver number 4, ribbon bow to top.

Card for Ellie

Card I made a while ago and have been unable to blog....... using the lovely nitwits papers and images.
I used lovely white linen cardstock and matted and layered different papers.  To this I added decoupaged elements from same nitwits collection.  I used glossy accents to give a high gloss sheen and glamour dust ....... really pleased with the finished card.
