Oval Birthday for Mum

This is a card I made for Mum, using the frills and frames cd from The clip art fairy.  I used
a flower graphic from the disc and cut it out several times go give me enough to build up
for a nice embellishment.  I used clear nail varnish (I find this better than the decoupage
glue as it doesn't make the colour run) on the flowers to give a lovely glossy shine.

I didn't photograph the inside of the card, but what you do is, make a little concertina of card about 1" wide and 3" long.  You fold this to make a concertina and use double sided tape to attach to front and back of the card, this allows the card to stand up.
I attached a little tag with Mum and a little flower graphic, using a little flower brad.
I have made several of these cards in different colours, including an extra large one with a graphic for a new baby.

New Baby

Here are a couple of new baby cards I made over the week-end.  They are again for my cousin  who asked if I could do a boy and girl congratulations card.  Her friend has a card shop and she wanted something different for them.
I have used backing papers from The clip art fairy web and the little princess graphic from her single graphics collection.  I have added litttle pearl heart gliders from Crafts4u and some lovely sheer white ribbon and diamante hearts from my collection.
This was made in exactly the same way as the Girl
Card, but using a nice blue/green colourway
from The clip art fairy again. Using green sheer
ribbon and the same pearl gliders as before.

Baby Hanger

Hiya, this is just one of the little baby things I've been making, this was made for my cousin's baby granddaughter, born in May.  It is a little wall hanger showing the name, and birth details.  This could be laminated to keep clean if you wish.

I used alphabets and graphic from The Clip Art Fairy, who I buy from a lot, Wendy has the most gorgeous cards etc over on her blog.

Hiya and Welcome

Hiya, welcome to my blog........... I'm new to this so guess will be trial and error for the first few days until I find my way around.

I am a nanna to 4 gorgeous grandchildren, two boys and two girls and enjoy making handmade cards in any spare time I can get.  I use cd's and graphics to create my cards and spend hours on this pastime.  I will post some of my recent cards over the next couple of days and you can see what you think.
